Predigt über Römer 12,9-21
gehalten am 24. Januar, 2010 im Pertheshaus
Die Gnade unseres Herrn Jesus Christus und die Liebe Gottes und die Gemeinschaft des Heiligen Geistes sei mit uns allen. Amen.
Liebe Pertheshausgemeinde!Sie alle wissen, was ein Konfirmationsspruch ist. Ich weiß, dass viele von Ihnen diesen Konfirmationsspruch auch in ihrem Zimmer haben. Ich habe es ganz oft erlebt bei Besuchen, dass mir Menschen ihren Konfirmationsspruch gezeigt haben. Manchmal war er eingerahmt, und manchmal hing er auch an der Wand. Solche Konfirmationssprüche begleiten einen das ganze Leben. Ich weiß nicht, wie Sie Ihren bekommen haben. Ich vermute mal, dass Ihr Pastor, der Sie konfirmiert hat, Ihnen den gegeben hat zu Ihrer Konfirmation. Ich habe das, als ich in der Gemeinde war und mit Konfirmanden zu tun hatte, immer etwas anders gemacht. Ich habe ihnen immer eine ganz lange Liste vier Seiten waren es mit gesammelten Konfirmationssprüchen gegeben. Und dann durfte sich jeder einen Konfirmationsspruch aussuchen. Mir ist aufgefallen, dass unter diesen Konfirmationssprüchen, die ich aufgeschrieben hatte, einer da war, der am häufigsten ausgesucht worden ist immer wieder, jedes Jahr.Einmal waren es fünf Kinder, die sich diesen ausgesucht hatten. Ja, das war schon eine ganz große Anzahl. Ich war sehr überrascht, und ich habe zuerst überlegt: "Ist es vielleicht gut, dass ich sie noch 'bequatsche', dass sie sich noch etwas anderes aussuchen?" Aber dann habe ich mir gedacht: "Ah, die haben sich etwas dabei gedacht, und dieser Spruch hat sie angesprochen."Wissen Sie, welcher Spruch das gewesen ist!? (Zwischenruf: "der Herr ist mein Hirte"). Wir haben ihn eben schon gehört. Frau Besser (Zwischenruferin), Sie wollten sagen: "Der Herr ist mein Hirte", nicht wahr? Das kommt auch ganz oft vor. Aber einer war da, der kam noch öfter vor, nämlich: "Lass dich nicht vom Bösen überwinden, sondern überwinde das Böse mit Gutem!" Das war der letzte Satz, den uns Frau Hahn eben vorgelesen hat. "Überwinde das Böse mit Gutem!" Wissen Sie, wann mir dieser Spruch des Apostel Paulus durch den Kopf gegangen ist? In der letzten Woche, als ich zusammen mit Herrn Kamp durch die Flure gegangen bin und Ihnen mitteilen musste, dass unser Haus geschlossen wird. Das war nicht gut! Und für manch einen war das eine böse und üble Überraschung. Für mich auch! Für Frau Frau Hahn auch? (Zustimmender Zwischenruf) Für uns alle war dieses nicht gut. Wir würden sagen: eine böse Lebensüberraschung!Und dann haben wir uns überlegt: Wie kann man dem Rat des Apostel Paulus folgen und sagen, dieses Böse mit Gutem zu überwinden. Was ist jetzt, in diesem Augenblick das Gute? Was tut uns, was tut Ihnen, der ganzen Hausgemeinschaft hier wohl gut? Der Apostel hat ganz viele Ratschläge bereit. Und Frau Hahn hat sie uns eben gerade vorgelesen. Man kann diese Ratschläge, die er bereit hat, zusammenfassen und sagen: Übt Liebe! Seid gut zueinander! Überlegt, was ihr eurem Mitmenschen, den Mit-Hausbewohnern, Mitarbeitern und Mitarbeiterinnen in dieser schwierigen Situation Gutes tun könnt! Was kann uns in diesem Augenblick sozusagen in unserm Haus hier atmosphärisch gut tun? Ich glaube, gut tun wird uns und kann uns menschlich Zuwendung; dieses Gefühl: Was auch ist, was auch an Bösem auf mich einstürmen mag, es sind Leute an meiner Seite, auf die ich mich verlassen kann.Ich weiß, dass manch eine und manch einer von Ihnen in dieser Woche viel mit Angehörigen, mit Kindern gesprochen hat, was in dieser Situation nun zu tun ist. Und ich weiß auch, dass manchem und mancher von Ihnen das Gespräch mit den Kindern in dieser Situation gut getan hat. Was wären wir ohne die Menschen an unserer Seite, die uns beistehen?! Und ich habe auch beobachtet, als ich durchs Haus gegangen bin, dass manch eine und manch einer von Ihnen ein bisschen vorsichtiger umgegangen ist mit den anderen; so als müsste man untereinander so ein bisschen in dieser angespannten Situation Rücksicht nehmen. Ich glaube, dass es gut tut, wenn man sich in schwieriger Zeit der Gemeinschaft untereinander gewiss sein kann und die Erfahrung macht: Ach wie gut, dass wir nicht allein sind. Das müssen wir gemeinsam durchstehen. Und das wird helfen! Ich habe mir mal überlegt, - wenn Sie das vielleicht gerade einmal hinkriegen würden, vielleicht kriegen wir das sogar zusammen hin -, dass wir uns alle einmal an die Hand fassen. Geht das, trotz des Gesangbuchs auf dem Schoß? Jeder versucht es irgendwo. (Wir brauchen hier jetzt einmal eine Hilfe zwischendurch, so dass Herr Heide auch noch einen Kontakt kriegt. Geht das? So anfassen, vielleicht dazwischen. Wunderbar! Es ist gut so!) Jetzt versuchen wir einmal, einen Augenblick innerlich still zu sein. Und vielleicht schließen Sie ruhig einmal die Augen und spüren die Hand des Menschen an unserer Seite. Und wir merken: "Ich bin nicht allein! Ich habe Menschen bei mir. Sie sind für mich da. Wir sind für uns da." Tut das gut? Ich finde: Das tut gut! Und ich wünsche Ihnen, dass Sie immer spüren auch wenn Sie keine Hand in der Hand haben -, dass einer da ist "für mich". Das Gute im Bösen! Gottes Liebe - da wo ich erschreckt bin; Gottes Gegenwart da wo ich allein bin; Gottes Hand da, wo ich mich alleine fühle; die Menschen, Gottes Menschen, - für mich da. Amen. |

"The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the communion ofthe Holy Spirit be with all of you. Amen.
Dear Pertheshaus-Congregation! You all know what is a confirmation motto. I know that many of you have this confirmation motto in your rooms. Being on visits I have very often experienced that people showed me their confirmation motto. Some times it was framed, sometimes it was on the wall.Such confirmation mottos accompany people the whole life round. I do not know how you got yours . I'm assuming that your pastor who confirmed you selected it for your confirmation. When I served in a congregation and worked with confirmands I did it a little differently. I always gave them a very long list it was four pages long consisting of a collection of confirmation mottos. And then everyone could select one confirmation motto. I noticed that there was one confirmation motto on my list which was liked the most. It was the most selected motto.One year five children chose this motto. Well, this was a really big number. I was very surprised, and at first I thought: "It may be a good idea to talk them into changing the motto, into a different selection. However, then I thought: "Oh well, they thought something of it, and they are touched by this motto. So we should leave it be. Do you know which motto I mean? (heckle: "the Lord is my shepherd ! ). We just heard it. Mrs. Besser (heckler), you wanted to say: "the Lord is my shepherd , didn"t you? This also happens many times. However, there was one which has been selected even more frequently. It is: "Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good! It was the last sentence which was just read by Mrs. Hahn1 in the lecture. "Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. Do you know when this motto of the apostle Paul crossed my mind? It was last week when I passed the floors together with Mr. Kamp2 and told you that our house will be closed. This was not good! And for many persons this was a bad and evil surprise. For me, too! For you Mrs. Hahn, too? (affirmative heckle). For all of us, this was not good. We would say: an evil life-surprise!And then we considered: How are we able to follow apostle Paul's advice in order to overcome this evil with good. What's the good right now, in this very moment? What is benefiting us, what is benefiting you and the whole household community here?The apostle has a lot of advices. And Mrs. Hahn has just read them. We can summarize these advices, we can say: "Love mercy! Be good to each other! Consider what good you can do for your fellow man, the co-tenants, staff and employees in this difficult situation! At this moment, what can we expect in our house here in terms of a good atmosphere? I think human attention will and can do well. I"m talking about this feeling: Whatever happens, whatever evil may assial me, there are people by my side, who I can count on.I know that this week some one of you have spoken to relatives and children about what to do in this situation now very often. And I also know that the conversations with the children in this situation have done some good. What would we be without the people by our side who support us? And I also noticed when I went through the house that some of you have treated each other more carefully, as if to show consideration among each other in this tense situation. I think it's good when you are in a difficult time, you can be certain of fellowship with one another and that you can have the experience: Oh, how good that we are not alone. We need to get through this together. And this will help!I have considered if you can maybe manage this right now perhaps we can manage it together to take us by the hands, we all together. Is it possible although you have your hymn-book on your legs? Everybody may try it anywhere. (Here, we now need some help in order to help Mr. Heide getting contact too. Does it work? Take the hand in this way, maybe standing between them. Wonderful. It is okay in this way!) Now let's try for a moment to be inwardly quiet. And you might even close your eyes and feel the hand of the person next to you. And we note: "I am not alone! I have people with me. They are there for me. We are there for us. "Does it feel good? I think: That feels good! And I wish that you always have this feeling - even if you hold nobody"s hand - someone is there - "for me . The good in the evil! God's love - when I'm scared; God's presence - where I am alone; God's hand - when I am feeling alone; and the people, God's people being there for me. Amen. |
